These lyrics were written to be part of the “musical facilitation” component of a research atelier on “Co-designing a space for Citizen Science”, together with a couple of other songs, at the ECSA 2020 Conference.

Una delegazione della JBCM alla conferenza della European Citizen Science Association

Il 9 settembre 2020 una delegazione della Jug Band Colline Metallifere (Jack O’Malley, Dario Canal e Wolfgang Scheibe) ha partecipato alla conferenza annuale della European Citizen Science Association.

Il gruppo è intervenuto con alcuni dei propri brani in uno workshop dal titolo “Co-designing a space for Citizen Science” a cura di Claudia Göbel, Pia Viviani and Jack O’Malley, proponendo anche un brano scritto ad hoc, il “participation blues”. Il testo è pensato per essere collegato all’intervento successivo.

And I saw a lot of people, and a lot left behind | e poi ho visto un sacco di gente, e un sacco di gente lasciata indietro

Got that participation, participatio-o-n blues | è quell’incupimento da partecipazione

So I came to Trieste, in fact, I was online | Allora poi sono venuto a Trieste, in effetti ero online

I heard of a workshop, dealing with co-design | Mi hanno parlato di uno workshop che aveva a che fare con la coprogettazione
